This was such an amazing moment....

This is Ethan playing the piano like a pro! It was so amazing to see his face as he felt the keys and heard his music. He did an awesome job, but more importantly, his first musical experience was fun for him. Notice how perfect his tiny hand looks on the keys and how expertly his thumb reaches for the perfect fourth. Sigh, what an amazing experience!

7 Months

Ethan is 7 months today! Yay! Someone asked me what I was getting him for his 7 month birthday and I said, 'uhhh, ummm, lots of kisses!'

My Computer

Just so everyone knows, my computer is STILL in the shop. It has been over a month! Ahhhhh! Anyways, that means that I don't have MSN Live Messenger, Dad, so that is why I am not talking to you online! Anyways, $241 later I still don't have my computer because I'm waiting on a part blah blah whatever major nerdy geeks at PC Doctor.

He's Growing Up

Ethan had his 6 month appt the other day and he weighs 161/2 pounds! That is actually less than we thought he was. Since he was a month early, the doctor is still doing his 'adjusted' age and birth date. If he was born on his due date he would be right in the middle for weight and a little shorter than most babies his age but when you go by his actual birth date he is in the 25 percentile for weight. His head is big! The rest of his body hasn't caught up yet.

The doctor said I need to stop rocking him for so long at night time and set him in his crib when his eyes start to get heavy. While I understand why I SHOULD do this, I don't want to! I like rocking and singing him to sleep. He's the only one who likes my singing.

Today, I was making lunch and he was in his bouncer and then it got oddly quiet so I looked up and he was sleeping! It was so cute but sad at the same time. When I went to pick him up to put him in his cradle swing, he instantly woke up and resumed bouncing. I put him in his swing anyways though and he fell back asleep for about 20 minutes.

Love three day weekends. We did nothing but cuddle and play today and it was awesome. We napped on the couch after he ate his breakfast (oatmeal and pears) for hours. He would wake up, I would nurse him and he would fall right back asleep. It was really nice. '

We went over to Krisha's house today for a few hours and we had so much fun! Ethan was holding Reagan's hand and touching her. It was so fun to watch them interact. I hope we have many more play dates like that! (Reagan is Krisha's 2 month old daughter, very sweet) Reagan makes these pathetic whimpering cries and it is so sad! She is really developing a personality which is nice since the little baby phase is cute, but it is also nice to interact with your child.

I guess Ethan was pooped from all the playing he did with Reagan...............

Ugh

So depressed about this baby weight! I wish it would just all go away so I can wear clothes again without gaps in buttons and rolls on the sides and muffins all over the tops. I don't have any money to join the gym again, don't have any desire to exercise in the freezing cold, don't have energy to exercise after Ethan has gone to bed, and certainly don't have time during the day. UGH! Over Christmas break, I bought new clothes and 4 long sleeved shirts, 2 sweaters and 1 button up shirt shrunk so much that I mine as well throw them away. I wanted to cry. Even though the scale doesn't look that bad when I step on it, my weight has shifted around all over the place and I'm so tired of clothes not fitting. I haven't have success with clothes since I was 3 months pregnant. Bummed! :(

Ethan slept from 7:56pm to 4:08am. Then he ate, went back to bed until 5:30. After that, I brought him into bed with me and we played and napped until 7:10. Amazing. So refreshed!

Sweet potatoes!

Ethan

Ethan has discovered his feet and he is so cute to watch. He grabs onto both of his feet and rocks. He has been really enjoying time on the floor lately and is getting so strong. I'm scared that he's going to crawl away!

I had to go back to work today after this looooong Christmas break. It was really hard to send him to daycare today, especially when we were cuddling as a family in bed this morning! They said he had a pretty good day today at daycare so that made me feel better. There is this one girl there, Kelsi, that loves Ethan and always leaves notes for me that say things like 'I love my little guy!' and 'So happy to have the little man back!'. She makes it known that Ethan is by far her favorite, and Jeremy and I are totally ok with that. She said she likes Ethan so much because he stays up and plays when the other babies take naps. Not sure if that is a good thing........haha.

Ok I promised myself I would get to bed early tonight!
